Once you’ve emptied out all the goodness that arrives in that brightly color box each month, shown all your friends your sweet new shirt, done some light reading about the brewery, arrived home from using your coupon at said brewery, and stuck that sticker on your beer fridge you’re left with one more very awesome item – the box!
We know each one holds a special memory for you and you swear you’re never ever ever washing your hands after each one you open. So we know you don’t want to just pitch it. Here are our top 10 ways to recycle that box and hang on to it for eternity.

1. Stack ‘em!
Arrange these one on top of the other or side by side like books on a shelf. Stacks of boxes are a great look for our headquarters and we’re pretty sure your partner would love them as new décor in the family room.
2. Stash, uh…something
If you’re reading this we’re pretty sure you drink craft beer. Nice work. Perhaps there are other activities you indulge in that might require supplies that one would, hypothetically, want to stash away out of sight, but keep easily accessible. We think you’re pickin’ up what we’re pottin’ down. What better place to keep your stash safe than the box that once protected your new favorite shirt?
3. Gift it!
We’re always searching for a last minute “something” to put a gift in. The wrapping paper is in the back of the attic next to your Christmas tree and nobody wants to drive all the way to Walgreens and buy a gift bag. Enter: your empty Shirts On Tap box. One caveat though…your gift recipient will no doubt feel disappointment when they expect a sweet brewery shirt and instead get that R. Kelly disc set you’re re-gifting because you just don’t feel like you can morally have it in your home anymore.
4. First Aid Kit
Did you just skin your knees stumbling out of your 5th brewery on Sunday Funday? Head to the car, pop open the glove box (do not put the keys in the ignition. hey! we said no.), and remove your Shirts On Tap box that you very smartly filled with band aids, gauze, athletic tape, and travel-size Bactine. Boom, you’re as good as new and ready for breweries 6, 7, and 8.
5. Arts and Crafts Time!
Kids and their screens these days, amiright? Next time your little one complains of boredom bust out all those SOT boxes you’ve been saving, some scissors, some glue, and get creative! Who knows what they might come up with…the possibilities are endless.
6. Speaking of kids…
We all know the one thing they outgrow faster than the D.A.R.E. program is shoes. Simply cut a small rectangular foot-sized hole in the top of your Shirts On Tap box (that you’ve taped or glued shut) and you’ve got a new pair shoes every single month. Thank you for the inspiration, Kevin Malone.
7. Wallpaper
This word might make you think of Thanksgiving at Aunt Carrol’s house in 1977 but we’re pretty sure it’s coming back in a big way. Flatten those SOT boxes, stick them all over any wall, and they’re sure to bring that pop of color every room needs. Bonus idea: kitchen backsplash! Subway tile is so 2017.
8. Fold It Into A Wallet!
We have no idea how to do this, but we believe in you.
9. Take Some Notes
When trying a new craft beer – whether you’re at the brewery, roaming a beer fest, or lounging on the patio at home – tasting notes are a good idea. But your phone died from liking all those beautiful beer pics on Instagram! What to do?? Once again, unfold that SOT box, flip it to that blank white side and start sippin’. (writing utencil not included)
10. Recycle It
Yep, as sad as it might be sometimes the best thing to do for something you love is to let it go. If you decide not to try out the suggestions above, make sure that SOT box makes into the recycle bin. It’s gonna be really hard for us to keep making the best shirts on the planet if there’s, ya know, no planet.
